Monticello Avenue Stormwater Park

Monticello Avenue Stormwater Park is located at a street end park adjacent to Spa Creek in Annapolis. Through a grant provided by the Department of Natural Resources and in conjunction with Spa Creek Conservancy and the City of Annapolis, this neighborhood gathering space will retrofitted to include several LID devices to alleviate flooding and increase pollution removal. The new improvements will include several step pools and a pervious concrete path.  These features will provide greater retention of stormwater while the plant material and depth of soil media will remove pollutants from entering the creek. The existing sidewalk system will be reworked to allow for ADA access to the site. An existing brick patio will be relocated to provide greater views of Spa Creek and native planting will be used tie the site to the surrounding homes.
